This is a beautiful vintage early 1900s style hat. I am not certain if it is from the Edwardian period or is a replica from the 1950s. It appears to be from the 1900s, but it does not have its silk lining, which usually dry rots and gets removed. Unfortunately, the lining is the best way to date it for certain. The hat is made of wide woven straw in in beige and tan colors. The hat has a tan grosgrain band. There are faux pearls sewn on the band and along the brim of the hat. There is also a tan grosgrain band on the inside of the hat, where it rests on one's head. The inside measurement is 19 inches, but it will fit most head sizes, because the hat should sit high up on the head on top of a bun of hair. The hat is in very good condition, with only a tiny stain on the band.
