Vintage 1950's Black Taffeta Rockabilly Swing Cocktail Dress
This true vintage rockabilly swing black cocktail dress is from the mid 1950's. It has the measurements close to that of a modern size 4 to 6. The vintage dress has a metal zipper down the back. It has a fitted bodice that is accented with beads, pearls, rhinestones and applique and a full circle skirt that measures 252 inches around at the hem. On each side of the dress, just below the waist, there are rows of pleating that have padding under each area to help the skirt stand out more full. The material is taffeta, although I am not certain if it is rayon or silk. There are a few tiny dot size holes at the hem, but they are not visible except under very close inspection. Otherwise, the dress is in great vintage condition. The measurements are:
|Full Circle Skirt||252"|
WE MEASURE THE CHEST FROM PIT TO PIT AND MULTIPLY IT BY 2. WE MEASURE THE LENGTH FROM THE COLLAR, WERE IT IS STITCHED TO THE BACK. WE MEASURE THE SLEEVE LENGTH FROM WHERE IT IS STITCHED TO THE TOP OF THE SHOULDER.
Please remember these measurements are of the garment fabric, not your actual figure measurements. Be sure to measure the fabric of a similar garment that fits as you desire.
All measurements are of the garment itself; please remember to leave room for movement. Every item is hand measured.
