This vintage men's black wool Spanish Western Gaucho hat is reminiscent of the hat that Rudolph Valentino wore in the movie Tango and also like Lee Van Cleef wore in the movie The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly. It is a size 7 or Medium which fits a 22 inch head size. It has a brown leather sweatband inside that is marked with the name Sam Rubinson & Son New Holland, PA embossed in gold. The hat is trimmed with a narrow black grosgrain ribbon around the base of the crown. The hat has a hard crown and brim that do not bend, similar to the old Derby hats. The brim is 4 1/2 inches wide and the crown depth is 4 1/2 inches. There is a brushed mark on the top of the crown, but otherwise, the hat is in excellent condition.
