This is a very unique one of a kind vintage 1940s souvenir compact of Los Angeles, California. It has a whimsical map of Broadway, Hill St, and 7th St painted on an inlaid wood or leather top on a square gold compact. It shows people in swimsuits , the ocean, and several landmarks in the area. The powder, screen, and puff are all in place. The mirror is clear and in tact. There is no wear or scratches. There are no manufacturer markings. It is 2 7/8 inches on all sides. The compact is in very good condition.
