This is a beautiful antique hand carved shell cameo set in 10 karat gold. The cameo can be worn as a pin or on a necklace as a pendant. The pin has the old C clasp. The lady is in the Art Nouveau style. The gold frame has a very pretty Art Nouveau border. The cameo is 1 1/4 inches high (excluding the pendant loop which adds 1/8 of an inch to the height). The width is 1 inch. There is a faint stress line or soil mark at the bottom, but it is otherwise in very good condition.
