This ivory silk layered Titanic era Edwardian dress dates from 1912 to 1916 and can be worn as a wedding gown, formal dress, or dinner dress. The silk dress is tea length and comes just to the top of the ankles and measures 49 inches long in the front and 51 inches long in the back. There is a wide back sash that gathers at the center with a bow. The back of the neck has 2 sash ties that hang down to the hip area. There are 3 layers of material to the dress that hang in tiers. The front bodice has a hand decorated section of lawn material with 2 wide sash sections that cover each shoulder and are stitched in place at the upper back. There are metal snaps and hook and eye attachments down the center of the back for aide with dressing. There is a yellow dime size spot on the back upper back and on the front short panel below the bust, there are what looks like a few dot size picks that have been repaired but left just the slightest dot size mark. I thought that it was a few dot size spots until I looked on the under side. They are the size of a period and are not noticeable at all. The dress is in very good condition. The measurements are:
BUST 37 inches WAIST 26 inches HIPS 40 inches FRONT LENGTH 49 inches BACK LENGTH 51 inches
