This is an amazing vintage silver metallic formal evening dress from 1929 to 1930. The dress has a simple front with a loose sash that hangs loosely around the empire waist. The front length is 6 inches shorter than the back, as the back flows like a wedding dress at the center. The back has a deep V cut with wide sailor style lapels on either side. There are 2 loose triangle shaped sashes that stem from the base of the V back. There are several metal snaps at the center of the back that allow you to take the dress on and off easier. It is lined with black silk. The only flaw is a square near the knee area that is slightly darker then the rest of the dress. I have been told that the metallic material actually has metal in it, which sometimes gets darker with age. It may clean up with a vintage clothing dry cleaning expert.
