This is a vintage 1940s World War II era wool navy uniform. The shirt is marked size 38 R. The shirt has one white stripe on the left arm for rank. The pants button in a square shape at the front with 14 blue plastic buttons that are carved with an anchor on each. The back of the pants lace up at the center. There are 2 pockets on the front also and one has a brass zipper across the top. There is a pea size hole on the bottom of one of the legs, just a few inches above the hem. Otherwise, the uniform is in VERY GOOD VINTAGE CONDITION. The measurements are:
PANTS WAIST 29 inches PANTS HIPS 37 inches INSEAM 31 inches (1/2 INCH HEM)
CHEST 42 inches (from pit to pit X 2) SHOULDERS 17 inches SLEEVE 24 inches
