This is a pair of vintage 1940s to 1950s mens soft spun cotton argyle "Washfast" socks by Pilgrim. Pilgrim was a shoe manufacturer in the early part of the 20th century. The socks are marked a size 12. They are chocolate brown with light blue and white accent colors. The socks have nylon reinforced heel and toe. They are marked "Sear Roebuck and Co USA" . The socks were part of an estate were the owners had a store in from the 30s to the 60s. There were alot of large quantities of items that were unused and still have the original tags. There were several pairs of these socks in different colors. They are in EXCELLENT VINTAGE CONDITION and have no discoloration, picks, holes or wear, and have never been worn. The height from the top to the heel is 10 inches and the length of the foot, from toe to heel is 12 inches. The measurements are without stretching the socks. They should stretch a half of an inch or so.
