This is an antique Edwardian (1900 to 1915) ecru cotton lounging robe or duster coat. It is heavily decorated down the front with linen cord. It is also accented with ecru cotton ruffles. The robe has 17 Mother of Pearl buttons and buttonholes down the center of the front. The material is a heavy type of cotton and could be worn as a lightweight coat. It has the decorative cording down both sides of the front, from the shoulder seam to the hem. There sleeve cuffs are also decorated with the cording in between the 2 ruffles at each sleeve end. The front of the robe is a few inches short then the sides and the back., so that the back trails a little like a formal gown. The robe has some damage - a few pea size holes and one period or dot size hole. There are a few small rust spots. Otherwise, it is in VERY GOOD CONDITION. The measurements are:
