The blouse has white floral embroidery on the front with tiny eyelet lace embroidery circles. There are 8 pleats on the front, that stem from the shoulder seams. The back of the blouse is shorter than the front and has a gathered band at the waist.

It is 18 1/2 inches long from the collar to the end of the point in the back and is 17 1/2 inches long in the front.

There is a row of another of type of lace 13 inches above the hem.

This is an antique Victorian to Edwardian (1880 to 1915) ecru cotton lounging robe or duster coat. It is heavily decorated down the front with linen cord. It is also accented with ecru cotton ruffles. The robe has 17 Mother of Pearl buttons and buttonholes down the center of the front. The material is a heavy type of cotton and could be worn as a lightweight coat. It has the decorative cording down both sides of the front, from the shoulder seam to the hem. There sleeve cuffs are also decorated with the cording in between the 2 ruffles at each sleeve end.
